Bio
Hi, my name is Josh.
I’m looking for contract or permanent Lighting or Sound Design and Operation positions. I love a new challenge and am happy to turn my hand to whatever is required, to ensure a great result.
I’m currently based in Southampton and am a mechanically minded individual, proficient in building and running Lighting and Sound systems to a very high standard. I’m passionate about my work and thrive on delivering great events, where I’m happy to work by myself or as part of a team.
I’m well planned, confident and experienced in dealing with stakeholders, be that the public, clients or other professionals at all levels. I also have experience in stage design and set-up, including props, rigging and have worked on a large number of live events.
I have PLI with Soul Sound, a full clean UK drivers licence and my own car.

Lighting
Through out my time in the industry, I have been faced with having to operate and program with several consoles on a number of stages and performances but, if I had to choose, I'd say that Chamsys (in which I have advanced training) and ETC were my two favourites software and consoles to work with.
Sound
When I left year 11, I went into higher education to study Production Arts primarily going to study lighting. However, in my time there, I discovered a passion for sound engineering and developed it to the point where I have worked on gigs from indie to blues and also some theatrical work. My desk of choice would be an Allen & Heath SQ-6
Rigging
I have good knowledge of rigging and have working at heights training. My experience extends to rigging a theatre consisting of 6 universes of lights along with a full-size flown PA system whilst staying safe but efficient with the job being completed well within the time requirement.
